one of the best breed ever

about us

We are the owners of the CDB (Goya de Acrollam) who was imported to Toronto (Canada) from Puerto Rico in 2011. The local web research returns with frustrating result - the Majorca Mastiff is not recognized by Canadian Kennel Club (CKC) and American Kennel Club (AKC). Only the United Kennel Club (UKC) in USA started to register the breed in 2006 as "MAJORCA MASTIFF" (that is an official breed name in English). Unfortunately, the UKC doesn't provide any FCI papers for registered dogs that would be a big issue for Ca de Bou owners who are planning to breed their dogs with regards to a World standard. The good news is the pedigree issued by Federación Canófila de Puerto Rico (FCPR) recognized by all FCI members and the AKC, CKC, and UK.

On this site we will be building the local Ca de Bou community of North America that doesn't exist yet. If you are planning to get this breed in the future please contact us and we will do our best to provide you with valuable resources. We have contacts for well known kennels, clubs and breeders all over the world. In case you are already the happy owner of Perro de Presa Mallorquin just let us know and we will be glad to put your dog's information along with pictures to this site so anybody can enjoy it and easily find and contact you.

Note: the dogs with FCI registered pedigree only are published here.

Regarding to a Breed Specific Legislation (BSL) list the Majorca Mastiff is the only listed in Aurora, CO, USA. There are no reasons to worry about this breed to be banned in the future due to it's wise temperament! The appearance may look too dangerous and the jaws seems to be strong but Presa Mallorquin is an obedient watch dog!
